creeper

If you're friends with me, you've already seen this creeper all up in your news feed being... creepy.

The origins of the mannequin are suspect as you would imagine. I found her outside of a friend's birthday party in Nipomo over the weekend, wearing a sundress and carrying a Disney princess balloon. Needless to say... "what?"

More sushi

Went to Sushiya again this weekend. I'm a bad person.

Did I mention I'm hungry right now? Because I am.

Something I want to try

A friend of mine just pointed me towards Project 365.

Since I pretty much already take a photo a day anyway, why not share it with you? So this is my New Years resolution for 2010. I will take a photo a day and share it here.

Won't you join me?

Happy Birthday Soozin

This is my friend Soozin. I've known her since she was in high school (notice I didn't say we, she's younger than me!) Yesterday was her 25th birthday and we celebrated in high style. And by that I mean we ate sushi and booze soaked fruit and partied like it was... well her birthday.
It was a great Friday and I was so happy to see her. I love this girl. Today it's off to Nipomo to celebrate another friend's birthday. November is a busy time for Stephanie's.

Sunshine

I hate that it gets dark so early now. By the time I leave the station, the day is done. So in an effort to bring in the sun, here's some sunflower pictures I snapped over the summer on my iPhone.

A view from my home office

A few days ago I got DSL out at the old homestead which resulted in my needing to move my computer and rearrange some stuff. So I went ahead and reorganized my bulletin board/desk area as well.

You can see Hello Kitty/Sanrio figures pretty heavily into my office area. As well as music related keepsakes and photos. While the Giants calendar isn't mine, I didn't mind October at all, since it was the month that Brian Wilson was the featured player. (ha ha)

So what's your desk area like? What inspires you? Post a picture or just share a little. Let's call it audience participation....

Girly Weekend Sushi Fest

My friend Amber came to visit this weekend and we did the one thing we always do when she visits, and that's hit Sushiya in SLO hard.

This was the sake the waitress recommended to Amber. I don't drink sake so I skipped it.

Scallops!

Amber's Eel Nigiri

My yellowtail and salmon nigiri

Amber's octopus nigri. I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to eating anything with suckers on it though...

After a relaxing sushi lunch we got our nails done and then got dressed up and went out for cocktails. Sometimes I'm such a girl it's stupid. But alternately the next morning I put my Seahawks jersey on and went to watch them beat the Lions over at the Graduate. All in all it was a good weekend. I capped it off with the Teenage Bottle Rockets at Downtown Brew last night.

Today I'm meeting one of my other BFF's, Michael for some bonding time after work. It's looking like a decent week so far.

Happy Birthday United Germany!

Twenty years ago today I was awake and getting ready for school. Then my mom said I didn't have to go, because what was happening on TV was even more important than anything I would learn in the 4th grade that day. We turned on the tv and watched as the Berlin Wall was torn down.

It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. This song was inspired by it.

My sandwhich has an attitude problem

I'm just kidding. Treehugger is a veggie sandwhich that they make over at Stacked Sandwhiches in Grover Beach. My girl Teresa suggested it to me when she went out to get lunch for the office and it's really good. Although I'm a stick in the mud and got mine without avacado.

I photo shop things

When I got my iPhone awhile back I downloaded an app called ColorSplash that is sort of a mini photo shop. For your phone. Here's some stuff I've done with it.

Centerpiece at my friend's wedding in Alaska.

Mr. Rick's in Avila Beach.

Tasty beverages at the SF Giants game I went to earlier this year.
